Yes, I don't know who is telling you you can't go to collage. But, don't you believe them. As a matter of fact the Arizona State Universary (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona has a program for LD.
We all learn differently. Some of us are visual, we learn mostly through our eyes.
Some of us learn by hearing.
Some of us learn through our sense of touch, we need to experience our learning by doing.
You have strong areas which have many many opprotunities for a career.
Believe in yourself.

There are many different kinds of LD. I don't know how LD affects you, so whether you can handle college or not, IDK. But I found out in college that I had an LD. There were a lot of resources available on campus (for all kinds of disabilities including LD) and I ended up graduating with a double major...one of them being Math! So don't let it discourage you, there is support available for college. And yes, you can be gifted as it's defined by psychologists, or at least pretty close.

You are human, and god made you perfect for a purpose. You may teach many people in life and learn like any others. You can become a genius and **** THOSE DAMN PEOPLE. You don't listen to them, you can excel far beyond them if you wanted to. I honestly skate every day and i have asthma like no one else does. I have to carry a machine every were i go and I've lost my arm... but I don't listen to people that bring me down I look up at my friends that actually care for me. When i lost my favorite arm my life turned.. i lost friends and people thought i freaked them out! But today I'm a leader, I have friends and I can skate. All it took was independance. Find your skills in life and sow them off, be proud of the gifts you have or can obtain. I'm only 13 and I've whent through hell but now i can shine. Take care and find your purpose to be a leader, Chris.

My IQ is 137 and I did terrible in math and science but excelled in English, writing, social studies, and history. My college GPA is 3.83 but I could never pass beginning algebra. I am a professionally published author (not vanity press). Your learning disability is NOT reflective of your IQ or your ability to succeed in life!

You do not need to be gifted to be a success. Those who are labeled such don't necessarily go on to do anything extraordinary with their lives.

My daughter was in special ed part of the day from 1st grade thru 4th grade. Today she is the owner of a very successful business - with 15 assistants.

If that isn't grand enough know these:

Albert Einstein failed 2nd or 3rd grade (I forget which).

Nelson Rockefeller had difficulty reading. If you're too young to remember him, he was an extremely wealthy man and also ran for vice-president. Do you see pics of the huge NYC Christmas tree when they light it every year? It is put in Rockefeller Center.

Be kind to, and accepting of yourself, do your best, and you will do just fine.

P.S. The brain doesn't stop growing until one is 20+.

It is possible to have good skills in one area and a weakness in another and people with disabilities can be academically gifted. Do not be jealous of students who posses more skill or have had more opportunity than you, it is a waste of energy. Push yourself to reach your own goals. There are many people with learning disabilities who go on to college and have successful lives. As for being gifted, it doesn't mean anything in the real world anyway, so do not stress over that label or any other. You are probably much stronger in verbal skills, but your spelling needs work, as does your sentence structure. If you like English and writing, spend some time polishing these skills and pursue a course of study that fits your interests.

yes it it. i have a family member who is severely mentally handicapped and they cannot write, read or even speak properly. however they are AMAZING at art and they are so creative. they can make the most amazing things. it is certainly possible, just because their minds work differently does not make them any less able to be good at certain things.
