Im taking a low dose birth control controceptive called “Nuva Ring” and I sing its praises!

its 99.2% effective even when not worn with a male condom
and it will not lower your libido

Different women react differently to chemical birth control. NuvaRing lowers some women’s sex drives. It’s less likely to do this than the pill, but it can happen.

If you’re really sensitive to chemical birth control, you might look into the nonhormonal IUD, the ParaGard. You could also try condoms and spermicide. A condom and separate spermicide (foam or insert) are as effective as the pill when used correctly together, and the spermicide acts as a lubricant.
