No iron in your system thins you blood right out so the chances of you getting a nose bleed is also high, you dont necessarily have to be doing anything, it can just start. I recommend you go to your doctor and get a blood test done, this will confirm whether you have an iron deficiency or not. It is best to get it looked at just in case. I used to get them all the time. When you get one best way is put your head forward and apply pressure, your blood will clot quicker this way and the bleeding will stop, dont put your head back because it still runs down the back of your throat, not good for you. If you tilt your head back when you have a nosebleed (epistaxis), all you are doing is diverting the blood into your stomach. If it continues best to get your Dr to check it out to make sure there is no other problem causing the bleeding.
