First, fill out your FAFSA asap.
Second contact the school for a list of the scholarships and grants that they offer and apply for all that you remotely qualify for. Also ask what else they recommend.
Third, talk to the financial aid people (several time) and make sure you are filling everything out that you can and not missing anything. Be sure they have a list of your child care expenses as those can qualify as a school expense too.
Fourth spend time actively searching for scholarships and grants. Ask around to people, librarians, google and other search. You should be able to get all sorts of information for free - don’t pay for anything. Check and see if your state has something like this: where a lot of scholarships are listed in one place and one application applies to many scholarships.
Private colleges often have a lot of money to offer in the form of scholarships and grants. It may cost you less than a public school. Also, without knowing specifics I would be surprised if you are not able to take out additional loans.
Good luck.
