Medical would be more demanding. I know alot of people who studied engineering and later their careers were non-engineering. But most people I know who studied medical went on to have rich happy medical careers.

They are both in high demand, but medical professions can’t be outsourced as much as engineering positions can. Though both choices will probably lead to a career, I’d have to say that being a doctor would have higher job security than an engineer.

Why don’t you do biomedical engineering and experience the demand of both fields?
