Private dental coverage usually runs around $30 a month. Maybe it would cost your employer, $20 a month.
Negligible, with your salary.
Because of all the limitations, copays, deductibles, etc, I’ve never seen a private policy that pays out more than it costs.
This is a good example of you being able to “self insure” for your family’s dental coverage. It’s not going to be worth it for you to pay, say, $50 a month for a family plan, that’s going to actually pay out less than $500 a year.
