I used to think that I shouldn’t brush more then once a day because of enamel corrosion, but because I thought this way, I now have tartar deep into my bone where we all cannot clean and have to go for deep cleaning in those areas and I never knew about that, I always got my teeth cleaned by the dental assistant once or twice a year, but its called the silent killer, this deep tarter if it gets to your bone, loves bone better then enamel & you will suffer bone loss & loose teeth, mostly in back.

Hi Underwear, baking soda is primarily a sodium (salt) based product. So if U put salt on cement, it makes holes in pavement, hence salted roads wreak havoc during winter time…So if we salt our gums and teeth, how do you think this effects out enamel after a few uses? I am afraid the enamel will get somewhat brittle…Wouldn’t that make sense? Hydrogen & Peroxide is used a lot together instead of highly acidic lime…She is a dental assistant & prescribes acidic lime and salty baking soda?

I have tried the lime and salt one before and afterwards I had problems eating:

hot & cold drinks
anything citrus
anything sugary like biscuits
mangos, apples, pineapples
ribena
red wine
even metal cutlery became a problem. The lime acid is pretty strong, and the salt is too abrasive.

If your teeth are easily sensitised then either leave that one alone, or use a very soft tooth brush to apply. Stiff toothbrushes feel good but they can mess up your teeth and the gums they are attached to.

It doesn’t eat away at the stains, it eats away at the protective enamel layer. The salt or the baking soda are abrasives that wear away at the enamel.
Do you know why people who brush their teeth 3 to 6 times a day have more cavities than those who brush once a day or hardly at all? Because they’re wearing away the enamel.
Cut down on cavities by making sure you have high mineral and high fat-soluble vitamins as part of your diet. Easiest way is through animal sources.
