Consquences of Drinking Under the Influence
A great deal of the world’s population enjoys alcohol. Having a good time while being drunk can become a very recurrent thing these days, and more often than you might think. However, the fun ends when one decides to drive under the influence- and gets a D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence)
Some will say that after drinking, you start to not care about the consequences. You believe you aren’t as drunk as you really are, and decide to drive anyways. Out of the people who decide to do this, many get caught by the police. What kind of consequences can you see?
For starters, you will be going to a help group for sure. Probation, at-least a year or two, will be issued to you. Community service can total up to hundreds of hours- work without pay. Worse yet is the court costs- it can cost thousands for court fees, lawyers, and other fees. On top of it all- you will get your license suspended.
You can even be jailed, if caught 3 times. And if your license is taken away, it can be up to 5 years before you see it again- a real disability. If you are one of the people who swear they can drive really good drunk- remember the consequences. It is much better to have a friend drive, or to stay at someone’s house than to have your life taken away.
