i am considering it too. i looked on the computer under lap banding and found that several hospitals in my area give free weight loss surgery seminars. they will explain the procedure, determine if you are a candidate and even help with the insurance paperwork. check your local hospitals. good luck to both of us.

I know someone who had gastric bypass surgery. It is a real life change after surgery. She did very well for about a year or so, but she has started to gain the weight back because she is having a very hard time with the lifestyle change you must commit to.

If you can commit to the lifestyle change and do the things you are supposed to do after surgery then I think it’s a great option out there. It is not to be taken lightly…be careful, do research, start making changes now so it’s a little easier for you after.

Good luck and I hope all goes well for you!!
