Then, you’re left wondering, as you stand in line behind them, what in the **** is wrong with them? Or, are they driving someone else’s car? Or, (you fill in the blank)?

Some people abuse it and it isn’t fair. The thing is I haven’t heard or seen anyone cited for breaking the law on the disabiled placard use. I know that we could call the attention of the security authority of the place but people who hate to see this abuse just don’t have the time to report it.

Or … maybe they have a condition where they don’t know if their legs will hold them on the way to the door. Parking lots can get very crowded, sometimes it’s a hike to the door. People get disabled placards for many reasons. Just because they don’t look disabled and they can walk doesn’t mean there isn’t something wrong with them. My husband has one and he only uses it when he’s feeling the worst.

Yeah, my stepmom had one of those and she kept it after she got well and would park in handicapped spots. I told her that “I would never do that. I was sure God would say to me, “so you want to be handicapped huh? O.K.”She is exactly the type of person you would expect would do that kind of thing, greedy and self absorbed, and a con artist to boot. She was married to my dad for 7 years and robbed me and my sister of our entire inheritance among other horrible things. We are still praying for the Lord to help us to love and forgive her.God bless!!

P.S. Thumbs down huh? Looks like my stepmom has a yahoo account!

P.S.S. Oh goodness, and looks like her con artist siblings have one too!!

Yes the system is abused by 80% of people that display disabled stickers,Some borrow a car and park because they can. others have it for a disabled person that they transport from time to time and they park and abuse the system because they can.Others will apply illegally for a disabled sticker so they can be lazy and park where they like.
i have wondered at this practice for years and it seems as long as you display a disabled any thing then you are not required to justify your klegal right or need to use these parking spots and proves that a lot of persons that know disabled people don`t really care as long as they can abuse the disabled system.
I know of ordinary folks that have trouble with legs feets and other health issues that don`t quilify for a disabled parking sticker and yet perfectly healthy folks abuse it.
