My son had a hearing test done at birth, they are required in the state that I live in.
The 1st test they gave him they said that he failed by a small margine in one ear. So, they retested 1 hour later and then said that he failed in both ears.
They suggested that we retest in a week.
So, that is what we are going to do. They told us that sometimes there is wax or fluid from the birth in there and that is why they fail, and sometimes it is a hearing loss problem.

My question is has anyone else had a similar experience? and if so, was your baby o.k. later, or what was the out come?

I think my baby can hear, he seems to jump if he hears a loud noise and he looks when someone talks, so I don’t know what to think, I am worried he might be tone deaf or something, and maybe that is why he is failing the test, but acting as if he can hear loud noises.

Ok, I have this problem, its not exactly a nose bleed, its just whenever I blow my nose or whatever, a lot of the time there is fresh or dried blood in my mucus. This has been happening for about 2 years. Some day I dont get it, but most days ill get it at least once.

Keep in mind: I DO NOT HAVE CANCER. I do not have an infection, i do not have anything serious, my doctor ran tests and told me myself.

Now, is this potentaly serious? What could this be? I do have alergies (my lips, throat, ears and nose get itchy and I produce gobs of clear mucus and my eyes get red) but this does not happen often and does not seem to be linked with this in any way at all. Its been years and I have not found a reason why this is happening, I was told its probably my sinuses or irritation, and I sometiems feel pressure in my face, but still this does not seem related in any way to me as they come at different times.
I cannot say I have nose bleeds, I never do. Its just in my mucus. Thank you.

My right ear is deaf over 100dB. My left ear hears at an average of 5dB. I’m only deaf in one ear, so believe it or not, I’m NOT hard of hearing and my hearing is fine, it has never affected my performance. But, because I have unilateral hearing loss will I be automatically disqualified?

Someone said, ” if you can hear the music 1 foot away then it’s too loud ” Well no matter how low I turn down my headphones and stand 1 foot away, I can still hear it……

Also I do SOMETIMES get a very lightly ringing sound, but i can barly hear it..

I got to work this morning around 6am and promptly got a nose bleed something i haven’t had since primary school. (I’m 25 now)There was a lot of blood loss then as soon as the nose bleed stopped I’ve had a sharp shooting pain behind my right eye. I rang the NHS helpline and was told to go home have some sleep and take a couple of paracetamol’s. I just woke up and the shooting pain is still there and little milder. Ive never had anything wrong with me of this nature before in my life and it making worry somewhat. Any advice from anyone would be most appreciated. thanks in advance.
I haven’t had a drink in about 3 or 4 weeks.

Also i have been working a lot of hours at work for the past month. Early starts and late finishes/
