yesterday my doc called and wanted me to come in today because I tested positive for chlamydia. The last time I had a pap smear and test for std’s was in Sept and it was negative. I have been completely faithful to my husband and I believe he has to me as well. Neither of us have symptoms and we are both baffled. Is there anyway I cold have gotten chlamydia years before I met my husband or vica versa? How common are false positives? Could having sex the night before my pap smear could have affected the results??

i overheard a conversation at my doctors office 2 days ago and 2 nurses were talking about how a person came in there and admitted that they think they had chlamydia for atleast 2 years!!!!! i thought it cannot stay in your body that long? i didnt wanna ask because i wasnt trying to be noisy but is that true? whats the longest a person could have chlamydia?if its over a year or two whats going to happen?

Ok, A little over three weeks ago the doc told me I had Chlamydia. My boyfriend and I both too the prescribed one dose of Zythromax and had no sex for a week just like the doc said. Now 3 weeks later, I am having discharge again and the same symptoms as before. I know I need to go back to the doc and I will, but I am just nervous and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen or knows anything that could help me. Thanks.

When I was 18 I lost my virginity. About 4 months after that, I went to get my normal check up and to get put on the pill. My Dr. told me that my pap came back abnormal, and upon futher testing discovered that my BF had given me Chlamydia. I was so mad at him. She went ahead and treated me right away. Knowing that I lost my virginity 4 months prior to this and had NOT been with anyone else, I knew it was him, but that is another can of worms. So my question is this: I know that chlamydia can cause you all kinds of reproductive health problems IF you DONT get it taken care of. Since I did my Dr told me that I shouldn’t have any problems steming from this and to avoid doing anything with him until he was treated and we did. Now it has been 11 years, and I have been with DH for 6 yrs now and married a little over one, am wondering if I might have gotten more damage than previously thought? We have had one MC 3 yrs ago, but no pregnancy since. What are your opinions/experiences about this?

A friend undergone an HIV test and the doctor suggested to test STD as well. They only got blood from him. The result said that he got chlamydia. I read some posting that chlamydia is tested thru urine sample. Can it also be tested using blood sample? If it is not, that means the clinic was cheating. I think since chlamydia is the most common STD, they just say a patient have chlamydia so they can sell to them medicine to take which means extra income to the clinic. Am i correct?

My current boyfriend and I are always safe and use condoms because we are both not tested and decided to wait until afterwards to have unprotected sex using the pill. But today we slipped up. It was only for a couple of thrusts before he pulled out and we both grabbed for the condom and caught ourselves, but what are the chances that if I had chlamydia that I passed it onto him? Like I said, it was only for a couple of thrusts, I’m just not sure of how easy it is to pass on chlamydia to him, that is if I have it. I would also like to know how long you have to have chlamydia before you can pass it on.
